![]() The protagonists were pretty cool though to me anyways. It was nothing major as a war story, but I think it was interesting enough with the more interesting bits being how dialogue choices in combat changed things with the world building. Story wise, I thought it was alright, but nothing amazing. Your main character plays more of a support role in battles and you can unlock more characters, your characters can class up/evolve, and get new abilities and customization options from playing well and doing certain things. You can also command your team to block at the same time with a button as well as execute perfect parries/shift character positions to seize the advantage and adjust strategies on the fly. Your characters have action points that will let you attack until depleted and it will recharge kind of like a stamina bar. I can only speak on the first one, but you have 2 main characters with different routes and progress through the game via stages and making different choices throughout each level which affects the story as well as unlocks and general bonuses during combat so choices matter a quite a bit.Ĭombat wise, it is kind of like Valkyrie Profile in the sense that you press buttons assigned to your party to attack, but the combat is more involved because everything is in real time and faster paced/technical. ![]()
